AOKIGAHARA

(Suicide Forest Of Japan)

"A beautiful dense forest in the shadow of mount fuji with a tragic  reputaion."

These are warning words you'll get to read outside the entrance of the Aokigahara forest in Japan, also known as the suicide forest globally. So ever heard of Aokigahara the suicide of japan? If not, then let me tell you that this beautiful looking green forest is not meant for your leisurely morning walks but rather holds an ill-fated reputation of being the world's second most popular place to commit suicide.  I wish it was not joke but this is the utter truth behind this gorgeous yet eerie looking forest in japan , which is less than 2 hours away from Tokyo, the bustling capital of the country.

Know before you go:

"Getting lost is quite easy but coming out is nearly impossible because of the denseness of the forest."

It's located approximately two hours driving time west-southwest from Tokoyo. Accessible without a car. Must take the Fujikyu railway to Kawaguchiko train station then the Retro bus. Entrance is in the parking lot of the lake Sai Bat cave. The forest is spread across a huge area of about 35 sq km, the forest of Aokigahara is so thick with foilage that it is called"sea of tress."

Mysteries behind the green scenary:

The Aokigahara forest in Japan has the unfortunate distinction of being a destination for people who are contemplating suicide. Since the 1950s, recorded suicides in the forest have been rising at an increasing rate of between 10 and 30 per year. In 2003, a record number of 105 suicide vicitms were discovered here.
Japanese spirtualists believe that the suicides commited in the forests have permeated Aokigahara's trees, generating Paranomal acitivity and perventing many who enter from escaping the forest's depth. Compicating matters further is the common experience of compass being rendered useless by the rich deposits of madnetic iron in the area's volanic soil.

Highest suicide rate in world:

The global finicial crisis of 2008 made matters worse, resulting in 2,645 recorded suicides in january 2009, a 15% increase from the previous year. The numbers reached their peak in march, the end of japan's finicial year. In 2011, the executive director of a suicide prevention hotline told japan times"Callers most frequently cite mental health and family problems as the reason for contemplating suicide but behind that are other issues, such as finanical problems or losing their job,". The second type of death is said to be poisoning, often by drug overdose!.

Is the place haunted?

Some believe the ghosts-or-yurei-of those abondoned of ubasute and the mournful spirits of the suicide linger in the woods. Folklore claims they are vengeful, dedicated to tormenting visitors and luring those that are sad and lost off the path. some people hear the rumors and tales, but it's not that but a series of circumstances make the place special. The presence of volcano stops compass from working properly. The remote location blocks any mobile network, these are the feelings that definitely will be running over your mind, which makes you think that the place is really haunted.

Can you just imagine?

''Your last minute infront of your eyes."

Just imagine that you looked up at the black sky, you  didn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and then your walking through Aokigahara Jukai forest, and you know that you are in dark home journey. The light rapidly fading on mid winter evening. Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther you travel into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. It is very hard for you to take even a breath due to the shifling air. The only familar sound to you is quikening beat of your own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through your chest. In order to take your mind off from the scary freaky sound, you just began to whistle, but in return you get back a mishmash of unpleasant sound, which made your heartbeat skip a second. The source of that scream remains a mystery! As you move further, this time it wasn't a hissing noise, it was something much louder and whatever it is, it is getting closer!

You lay trembling with fear adrenaline pumping round your body. You close your eyes hoping, praying,''whatever it is that making the horrific noises, would   soon go away".How wrong could you have been?closer and closer the noise crept. The Adrenalin pumping round you body is faster and faster, your fists clinched tighter and tighter. You are waiting, then suddenly the noise stopped suspiciously. At the moment when the noise stopped you dared to open your eyes, you are infront of a half buried dead body that have been really badly decomposed and had been eaten up by the wild animals. As soon as you see it you are running as fast as you could run across the mud, grass, leaves, roots and fallen trees. Your heart is beating so fast that you could hear it ringing on your ears. The place you stopped is nothing surrounded expect a dark silence, in fact you could hear a pin drop! but it was no pin. It was the drop of blood that patched your face from the hanging dead body above your head!
