                      Flam is small yet offers a treasure trove of spectacular scenery.Flam is a village which is located at the inner end oh the Aurlandsfjorden,a branch of Sogenfijorden.The village is located in Aurland muncipality in Vestland country,Norway.

 To step into the Treasure hunt: 

                                      The closest airport  is Sogdnal airport,Haukasen,approximately 70 kilometers from Flame.It is a regional airport serving Sogdnal muncipality and the surrounding area is Vestland Norway.The drive from the Sogdnal airport to Flam takes about 1.5 hrs including a short ferry crossing,where European route E16 highway between Oslo and Bergenruns through the Flam .They are several bus routes that depature for Flam and it takes about 1.5 hrs.The Norted express has daily depatures from Bergan to Flam.The trip lasts for about 5.5 hrs.

                                                                                      If the opportunity arises,be sure to take the Flamsbana train ride.One of the most picturesque excursions in Norway in Abroad the Flamsbana.The flame line is a 20.2 km long railway meter line between Mydeal and Flam in Aurland Muncipality  The lines elevation  difference is about eight hundred meters ,it has ten stations,twenty tunnels and one bridge. The train travel up hill along the Flam line for about a dozen miles through a fertile,glacier-formed valley accented with waterfall and shouldered by mountains .Just  sit back and relax as you head down to the harbour area of flam                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      2.Brekkefossen waterfall:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

          "Marvel at the long drop of Brekkefossen ,a waterfall pouring from a hanging Valley through twist valley"                                                                                                                            Brekkefossen is a powerfull waterfall in the South-middle of Norway at Flam, in the region Sognogfjordane. Most people will see most of the waterfalls along the Flambanen by train.To see the Rjondefossen you have to leave road E16 and the follow the signs for the Flam center.A powerful waterfall with height of 100 meters.The Flambanen is a popular tourist attraction where a train brings you from Flame to Mydral.The most  famous waterfall is in the Kjosfossen.The next waterfall after the Brekkefossen is the Rjoandefossen,the one with the nicest colours in the most beautiful landscape.

                  A Fjord is a deep,narrow,and elongated sea or lakedrain with steep land on three sides.The opening toward the sea is called "The mouth of the sea "and it is shallow.The Fjord's inner part is called the " sea bottom".The Fjords were formed by the giant glacier tongues that through several ice ages have shaped the landscape.A Fjord is thus a u shaped undersea valley, and on the West coast, the valley is often surrounded by dramatic mountain scenary.The longest Fjord in the world is Scoresby Sund in greenland(350km),but the Western Norway region (Fjord Norway)boasts the next two spots on the list,with the Sognefjord(203km)and the Fjord(179)
