                                       Kanatal is a small village and a hill station in the  state of uttarkhand, India. Kantanal is 78km from Dehradun 38 km from mussorie and 12 km from Chamba.The temperture here ranges between 10-20 degrees celsius during winter. The location experience heavy rainfall in the winter. Due to high altitude, Kanatal faces unpredictable high winds. You can visit Kanatal any time through the year as the place has salubrious climate all the year. You can be blessed with the snowfall at Kantal during the months of december, january, and feburary. Monsoon recieve heavy rainfall to nourish  the greenary of the region making it must visit destination.

                               Kantal is connected by road to Delhi and major cities. You can reach here via through Risikesh or via Dehradun both are major cities of Uttarkhand. Both are  major cities of Uttarkhand . Both are connected by railways from Delhi. The nearest airport is Dehradum. Taxis are easily available from jolly grant airport to Kanatal. The airport is well connected to Delhi with daily flights. The two nearest railways connected with Kanatal are Dehradun Rishikesh. Dehradun is situated 85 kms from Kanatal and the distance from Rishikesh to Kanatal is 75 kms.

• Mountains of godness:

                                     Surkanda Devi is an ancient temple of hindus. This temple is Dedicated to godness Durga, which is one of the none godness forms. Surkanda Devi temple is a famous shrine located near kaddukhal, 24 kms from the town of Chamba and 40 kms from Mussorie. The temple is famous forits architectural beauty and its location. Perched at an altitude 2700 meters that offers a 360 degree view of the surrounding region along with the snowy Himalayas peaks.

                                    It is surrounded by dense forests and affords a scenic view of surrounding region including the himalayas to the noeth, and certain cities in south, The Ganga durga festival is celebrated every year between may and june and attracts alot of people. This is a temple which is located among the trees of rounslii. It is covered with fog mist of the time of the year.

                                     The temple is famous for its architectural marvel and the verdant surrounding. It is situsted about 35 km from Mussorie and 11 km from Dhanauti. It is an important pilgrimage center the temple offers extensive view of the snow ranges and exclusive experience one can never forget!!

• Jungle paradise:

                                                 Tiny, gurgling natural spring are along the way!!

                              The adventure lovers can go a quest into the wild and walk through the dense Kodia jungle loacted only 1 km from Kanatal. You can savour the refreshing views of the bubbling naturesprings and if lucky, you can spot a few wild animals. A level of walk of  6 kms will show you dense forest openings into a vast expanse of undulating hills and valleys.

                              The trek begins with a narrow dirt track and unfolds into a plateau that then leads to dense forests, undulating hill, spectacualar views of the valley below and the natural springs, also can do jeep safari from Kanatal to Kaudia forest.

• Proximity of Kanatal:

                     Reaching a staggering height of 260 meters, the imposing tehri dam is one of the tallest dams in the world, and the tallest dam in india. An engineering marvel in itself, Theri dam not only provides more than 1000 Mw of hydroelectricity bt also a popular tourist attraction in Uttarkhand.the dam resevoir also known as Tehri lake is usually flocked with tourists intersested in boating and is slowly becoming prominent hub for adventure tourists in Uttarkhand. it is around 260.5 meter high and 592 meter long. It is a multipurpose rock and earth filled embankment dam on the Bhaglrathi river near Tehri in Uttarkhand.
