Moraine Lake, Canada

                     The Lake was as silver as diamond flame and the atmosphere was convent quiet.Even the depths were vodka clear.The Rising sun caused a division of armed flies to swarm into the air.The Scene was so glorious that you will have a lightning bolt moment. The damp grass smelled whiff.The Lake appeared as if by magic as we crested the ridge.It was in teardrop-silver in colour and it was shaped like a perfectly flat disc of metal.No sound rang out from the shimmering emptiness of space around it.Monastery quiet, it was lined with pine trees and the whiff of mint wafted up to us.You can decide to make our way to its decanter clear shore.Moraine Lake and the surrounding area are affectionately referred to as the “Twenty Dollar View”.The Reason for this term of endearment comes from the fact that this scene was on the back of the Canadian twenty-dollar bill between the years of 1969 through 1979.The Idyllic scene will take your breath away.Unruffled by wind or rain, it was vault still and restful.The only sounds will be the bumbling of bees and the heavy echo of a raven crawking.

                       The Cold moves in only to meet the warmth of your blood, Your defence against such ice.You feel it wash over your skin, again and again, only to be met by the beat of my heart, again and again.The ones who stop are the ones who freeze, in a rage against the winter blasts, at ease with the volcano that breathes under this snowy mountain top.Yes the average temperature of the Moraine lake is about 10 degree celsius.So the best time of day to come to Moraine Lake for canoeing is going to be in the late morning throughout the afternoon when the temperatures are warmer.Every surface, every blade of grass and twig is growing long ice crystals ten or more millimetres in length.The summer months of June, July, and August are the best times to visit Moraine Lake. If you want to go hiking around the various trails you may want to plan to spend the day there.There are a few 3 to 4-hour hikes and one that is an 8 hour round trip.

                           The Road to Moraine Lake is closed during the winter due to heavy snowfall and high avalanche risk.Depending on the conditions, the road opens sometime between the third week of May and the first week of June and closes in October after the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.Now lets see about the detailed combination of magical winter and wonderland in every corner.The Places that your eyes can capture.

1. Lake Agnes tea house trail in winter:

                    Starting at a distance for about 7.7 kilometres with a difficulty level of moderate and an elevation gain of 392 kilometres where the time taken is for about 2 to 3 hrs with a short break at the tea house.The first part of the hike is an easy stroll along a paved path on the shore of Lake Louise.During your ascent you will get flashes of Lake Louise through the trees. This would be a complete set your most pleasing moment that you can't take off from your memories.

3. Little Beehive Trail :


                          The Trail offers an good fortune for you to explore the rarest charming  glaciers.The 0.75 mile round-trip detour to the Little Beehive climbs to an overlook on a ridge with fine views extending northwest toward the head of the Bow Valley, southeast to the summits rising above the Banff area.Plan to spend some time at the Little Beehive.It’s a gorgeous area with a fraction of the crowds you’ll find at Lake Agnes.The best time to explore for Little Beehive trail is from June- October.It is located in the Banff National Park, where the trail starts at lake Louise.It takes 45-60 minutes to Lake Agnes then another 20 minutes to Little Beehive plus lots of time hanging out at the tea house.While the trail often feels far from being in the wilderness the surreal views more than compensate for anything that you can say negative about the crowds on the hike.At this point you have a choice of return routes.The shortest option is to return the way you came, via the Lake Agnes Trail.
